The Executive Director Social Services Delta State Oil Producing Area and Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Barr Leonard Anoka on Sunday, July 24, 2022 hosted an enlarged meeting of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in wards 6 & 7, Ogume.
He used the occasion of the meeting to inform the party members that PDP is one indivisible party in Delta State and in Ogume in particular. He enjoined members to remain focused and never to lose hope with the party. “As at today there is no governorship candidate for the party and in due course the issue would be resolved amicably.” He urged the party faithfuls to remain resolute and not to be carried away by the propaganda of other parties.
Anoka acknowledged the fact that not many people benefited from the system today, adding that tomorrow is another day. “Everybody cannot benefit at the same time.
There would be an enlarged meeting with more stakeholders in a short while.”
The meeting which was well attended was timely and a welcome development according to the few people who spoke with Ndokwa Vanguard. They appreciated Barr Anoka for his visionary leadership.
One person from each of the various quarters were given the opportunity to address the meeting by pointing out the challenges in their communities. The high point was entertainment of the guests with drinks as transport allowance was equally given to them.
