Delta state commissioner for Technical Education, Hon. Shola Daibo, has disclosed that the 2022/2023 academic session will commence on 12th of September 2022.
The Hon. Commissioner who spoke with journalists at Asaba said the technical colleges suppose to have commenced in January but due to some reasons, they couldn’t meet-up
She revealed that the three technical colleges that are ready are the Asaba, Obiaruku and Effurun in Uvwian, noting that the recruitment was generally for all the technical colleges in the state but that more focused was placed on the three new ones.
She commended the effort of the State Governor, Senator Dr. lfeanyi Okowa who has made it possible to see the technical colleges in Delta state coming up with much gigantic edifice like university.
She said the focus of the state governor is ensuring that youths are pulled at of the street and as well reducing crime rate in the society and also ensure that the youths are developed in skills and vocational studies.
In her statement,” After giving glory to God, we thank our amiable governor who has made it possible to see the technical schools in Delta state coming up with so much gigantic edifice that are so much beautiful like university”
“ And because of the focus of the state governor trying to pull the youths away from the street and make sure to reduce crime in our society, and make sure we develop them in skills and vocational studies so that even when they finished, with the skills they have gotten they can earn a living and be self empowered”.
She maintained that the skills they will gain during the studies in school will enable then earn a living and be self empowered
