
Chief Johnson Ossai Opone, Fellow, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, was born in 1957 at Utagba Ogbe in Ndokwa West Local Government, Delta State. He is a son to late Ugbana John Opone from Umusadege quarters and Umunze priesthood family. His mother, Princess Ebele Mary Opone, was a great grand daughter of the famous King Obi Ossai of Aboh Kingdom who received the Lander Brothers in 1830.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in May 1984 and thereafter secured appointment as Audit Manager with Aluko Joseph Beadle & Co (Chartered Accountants) a member of Moore Rowland International. In 1985, he was promoted to the position of Partner and in 1987 he was elevated to the position of Senior Partner, as a result of his quality, exemplary leadership and contributions to the firm’s growth.
He was licensed by Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in January 1985 to engage in public practice. He was duly registered as a practicing Chartered Accountant in public practice as External Auditor and Reporting Accountant with Security and Exchange Commission of Nigeria, Bureau of Public Enterprise and Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
Having gathered enough experience at Aluko Joseph Beadle & Co he threw in the towel in 1988 to set up Messrs Opone Johnson & Co (Chartered Accountants), a firm that has recorded great strides and staff strength of thirty two employees who are qualified and professionally trained Chartered Accountants.
He is an acclaimed Consultant and has handled various business enhancement assignment for multinational and indigenous companies. He prepares feasibility studies for various sectors of the economy namely: Steel Plants, Automobile, Rice Farming and Processing, Food and Confectioneries, Herbal Toothpaste, Fruit Juice Processing and Packaging, Plastic Products and Real Estate Development.

This noble son of Ukwuani is great philanthropist who has helped many sons and daughters in various capacities.
A grassroot mobilizer and strong member of All Progressives Congress, APC. In 2014, he ventured into the governorship race of Delta State under Peoples Democratic Party, PDP but lost at the Primary after a gallant fight. He is the immediate past President General of Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU the apex socio cultural organization of Ndokwa extraction.
In a desperate bid to give her people a voice at the National Assembly, he has decided to contest the House of Representatives position for Ukwuani/Ndokwa federal constituency under All Progressives Congress, APC.
