Rights Activist & Politician, Ayomipe Jatto, have described Gov Sanwo-olu’s ban on commercial motorcycles popularly called Okada which four more Local Government Areas and five Local Council Development Areas where included recently.
Jatto said this is the greatest step to reduce crime in Lagos State also appreciates the Governor for enforcing the ban says it gave us a safer environment.
The Activist calls it one of the biggest Political risk and also a courageous move the governor took which his predecessors didn’t take. Jatto applauds the Governor for considering the safety of Lagosians first over his Political ambition. Says this bold step by the sanwo-olu administration is giving us the Lagos of our dream, A crime free and noise free Lagos .
Jatto also appeals to the sanwo-olu administration to create an employment opportunity for legitimate Okada riders in alternative Lagos State transport system like Lag-ride, BRT and the newly introduced railway system.
