Proposed Administration of civil justice bill will Deepen Democracy says Delta state Attorney General

Delta State Attorney General and commissioner for justice, Barr. Isaiah Bozimo has said the 3 proposed bills to Delta state House of Assembly will increase administration of civil justice and Deepen Democracy in the state.

Barr. Bozimo stated this during an interview with journalists immediately after the public hearing of the propose bills on Monday at the state House of Assembly.

He listed the proposed bills as; Delta state good Governance and accountability Commission bill 2022, Administration of civil justice bill 2022, and Administration of criminal justice bill 2022.

He noted that the purpose of the public hearing is to get contribution from members of the public wether they are speaking in favour or against any of the bills, saying the essence is to ensure that the final product fit the purpose and best interest for the people in Delta state.

He, however expressed optimism that the proposed bills will be enacted because it aimed at Deepening the dividence of Democracy, and improving the administration of criminal and civil justice in the state.

Also adding in separate interview, majority leader of Delta state House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Ferguson Onwo noted that the public hearing was imperative to get information from members of public, saying the state House of Assembly makes laws that are enduring over time,.he added “we have called upon members of the judiaries both bars and the bench, Civil Society Organisation to make their contributions for all the three important bills.

On his part Hon. Anthony E. Elekeokwuri stated that all the three bills are important, that the state House of Assembly passed appreciate laws that would better the lives of Deltans as regards to the civil and criminal justice,

He maintains that the good Governance and accountability Commission bill, is to ensure that wastage is reduce in the system, and to make sure that people who are engaged in corrupted practices are punished appropriately.
