Delta Monarch Advocates Death Penalty For Corrupt Public Office Holders

Delta state monarch, His Royal Majesty, Benjamin Keagborekuzi of Adein in Agbor kingdom has advised that the federal government and Africa to look into considering the death penalty for any public office holders who are found guilty of stealing, embezzling and diverting public fund met for the development of the Nation and Africa in general.

The monarch gave the advice when he spoke with journalists at his palace, in Agbor, Delta state express worried at the suffering of Nigerians and frowned at the manner public officers are stealing away the wealth of the Nation for personal purpose.

The monarch noted that any public office holder who is found guilty of embezzling funds met for development of the Nation for personal use should be killed, saying such a person doesn’t want the growth and development of the Nation.

He said, “we need to start thinking about the death penalty for Africa, public office holders that are stealing the wealth of the Nation, they have no use to us, the country has suffered enough”.

The “federal government level needs to tackle corruption strictly, we will be playing with ourselves if we continue the way we are, we cannot change government back without stringent decision taken”.

He added that the federal government under President Bola Tinubu will improve on the economy owing to his experience in Lagos as Governor and believe that he will put the right people in the right place.

While he urged president Tinubu to allow his ministers to act on their own to enable them to push development in their respective ministerial, which he said he (Tinubu) has already demonstrating.

He is equally optimistic that Delta state governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborewori will do the same by putting the right people in his cabinets, saying good leadership without the right people in place will fail and wrong leadership with the right people in position will definitely succeed.

He also urged journalists to be diplomatic and avoid sensational reportage, adding that journalists should do more questioning on our minerals, and Gold resources to enable Nigerians aware of what the funds generated are used for.
