As a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Ajede-led administration to Agriculture Development, Ukwuani Local Government emerged victorious in the field of agriculture at the 2023 World Food Day celebration held in Asaba yesterday.
At the event, which aimed to promote sustainable food production and highlight the importance of agriculture, Ukwuani Local Government secured the 2nd position in Poultry Farming and the 3rd position in Fishery.
The 2023 World Food Day celebration saw the 25 local governments in Delta State showcasing their agricultural products at the Cenotaph in Asaba and Ukwuani Local Government stoodout.
The success of Ukwuani LGA at the event not only highlights the potential of the local government in driving economic growth through agriculture but also serves as an inspiration for other LGAs to prioritize and invest in the agricultural sector.
The Ukwuani Council Chairman, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede who was represented at the celebration by the Supervisor for Agric, Mr Enudi Eugene while reacting to the victory in two categories at the food exhibition said the victory was expected even as he dedicated the victory to every farmer in Ukwuani Local Government.
Recall that, this achievement is not the first as the LGA also excelled at the 2022 edition of the World Food Day.
