A Non Governmental Organizations, (NGO) has supported ten business women with the sum of one hundred thousand naira each to grow their business.
The founder/ED, Cefforwomen Mrs Chinyere Chukwudi Zimako said it pleases her seeing women working hard to end a living with little or low income business. The theme” Empowering Women for Enterprise Growth”. provide grant for women in business was convene to support women in business.
In her statement, she said her vision is to empower young women in growing their business and expecting that the Chybee Entrepreneurship Foundation will empower over one million women across Africa.
” As an entrepreneur, I started by supplying diesel to hotels and banks and I was consistent to it”.
She maintained that consistency and punctuality is the champion to any business, speaking to every business women to take their business serious, adding that she want women to be financially stable, support the family, Kicked against depending everything from the husband which is not encouraging, let the men breath, she stated.
According to her, Chybee Entrepreneurship Foundation is empowering women with the sum of one hundred thousand naira each for the first edition, stating that women should be proud of their business as far as the business is legal.
She emphasized that if you empowered a woman you empowered a nation. As the foundation engaged ten women for the first edition which the foundation is praying to have it two or three times in a year, we are also praying for sponsors and partnership.
When we have sponsors and partners, it will be easier to empower a larger business women.
She noted that as an entrepreneur, she loves women in business and that was what motivates her to dive into such initiative.
She added that John F Kennedy once said that you should ask of what you can do to your country not what your country should do for you.
She thanked the women for making the society proud, said these women here are real women in business and they need to be empowered.
Meanwhile, the state commissioner for humanitarian and girl child entrepreneurship development, Hon Oredo Uduangha advised the beneficiaries to use the money on what it has been given for,
Uduangha added that women are working very hard now to support the family, frown against any woman that is not doing any thing to support the family. Though if at all we have any woman doing nothing it will be less percentage
Two of the beneficiaries who spoke to pressmen, Chiamaka Marvelous who is into farm produce and Mrs Paulina Uwabunkeonye Okolie who is also into selling of drinks appreciate Chybee Entrepreneurship Foundation that the one hundred thousand naira grant will help them to expand their business.
