The Labour Party governorship candidate in the March 18 election in Lagos, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour GRV, has queried the Lagos state Ministry of Justice for paying for the Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s legal team at the election petition tribunal.
GRV on his X handle posted screenshots of a purported budgetary statement released by the Ministry of Justice in Lagos state showing money allegedly allocated to some legal chambers to represent Gov Sanwo-Olu in court for election matters.
GRV wrote;
”We took Mr Sanwolu, Mr Hamzat, APC, and INEC to court. We did not take @lagosstategov to court. Why should the state fund his legal fees. Why should citizens’ taxes be used to pay for his representation.
This is why they are always quick to say ” Go to court” because they are so irresponsible and cheap, to not even pick up their legal bills.”
