Terrorists have sent a letter to Pushit community in Mangu LGA, Plateau State, to threaten another attack on Dec. 29.
This was disclosed by Dr. Stanley Kavwam, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Middle Belt Forum.
Kavwam said the letter warned that the residents of Pushit in Manga will be attacked on Dec. 29, days after terrorists attacked other communities and killed over 150 residents.
“I received a call that a letter was sent to my own village by the terrorists that the attackers are going to invade on the 29th of this December.”
Kavwam said the terrorists dropped letters to other communities warning of previous attacks on those communities before they happened and the security authorities did nothing to prevent the attacks.
He added that after receiving the letter from the terrorists, residents called security agencies but nothing was done.
“They received about thirty-seven distress calls, yet nothing was done,” Kavwam said.
He added that all the casualties of the terrorist attacks “are in communities inhabited by Christians.”
“The security forces know the attackers. They even know their hideout, For the past two decades, they know where they orchestrate all of these attacks,” he alleged.
He said the attacks are still going on, and there has been no response from the security authorities.
Recall that over 150 people were killed after terrorists attacked villages in Plateau state from Dec. 23 to Dec. 25.
The attacks which started in the Bokkos area spilled into neighbouring Barkin Ladi, according to local chairman Danjuma Dakil.
Residents of Mushu village were also attacked as they slept.
