An eminent Old Boy of Ogume Grammar School, Mr Chukwuma Ossaiga has embarked on literary journey as he has built state- of- the -art library in the school that made him.
He bought books worth 3 million Naira, imported book shelves and chairs worth 3 million also. He has installed solar panels for effective lighting and fans for cooling.
In a brief chat with Ndokwa Vanguard the philanthropist said he decided to go into this venture in order to promote reading and writing which is gradually dying like candle flames. He said he remembers his school days at his Alma Mater when reading was a culture, stressing that it was inspiring. ” That era is what I want to revive and it is achievable if all has be on deck”.
He said he is ready to partner with South South Writers Forum to do more academic wonders in the school.
The library would be commissioned on Monday, April 1, 2024 by 10:00am
