Residents of Okuama community in Delta State are appealing for help from the federal and state government after fleeing to a forest following the killing of 17 military personnel in the community.
The residents’ spokesperson who spoke to newsmen asked the Federal and State Government to supply them with healthcare, food, and other facilities. He revealed that the fleeing children, women and men of the community have no water, food, shelter, and medical care.
He added that some of the residents have fallen ill and have also been bitten by snakes while seeking refuge in the forest.
