A musical group under the aegis of Ogume United Musicians has appointed Alaska Ekele, Publisher/Editor-In-Chief as Patron.
The group led by its chairman Mr Felix Osakwuni alias Pillars was at the residence of Alaska Ekele this morning to give him the honour. According to Mr Charles Achudume, spokesperson of the group, Ndokwa Vanguard publisher was nominated during their meeting in May and everyone present at the meeting endorsed the nomination.
Speaking further, Mr Charles Achudume said they unanimously accepted Mr Ekele’s nomination because he is a man of no mean truth, humble, credible, a bridge builder and a man who is always happy with himself and others.
Responding, Mr Alaska Ekele gladly accepted the offer. He said he accepted the offer because there were many notable people in the community before he was picked from the crowd to function as their Patron. He advised them to live by their name – “United ” stressing that with unity they would achieve a lot. It was indeed fun till the meeting lasted.
