Ovation as Comrade Matthew Allwell emerges as new chairman of Utagba -Uno Rubber Estate – Michelin under the Nigeria Union of Agriculture and Allied Employees ( NUAAE).
Allwell appreciate the encouragement and support of his colleagues, said he will carry everyone along and their welfare will be his major priority.
Comrade Matthew Allwell defeated his opponent overwhelmingly which was conducted through option A4 voting system. His supporters were satisfied because the election was conducted in the atmosphere of free and fair.
The state chairman of Nigeria Union of Agriculture and Allied Employees Comrade Kendobie Anthony and his team from the headquarters Asaba witnessed the outcome of the election
According to the state chairman of NUAAE, the election comes every four years to bring in new leadership of the union, adding that the election was free and fair and winners emerged.
Though it was a tough beginning because a lot of calls came in from different people in the community and the workers said they don’t want any interference from anybody, but irrespective of that the election was conducted free and fair. Kendobie stated.
He advised the new chairman and his Exco, to work together because leadership need a lot of thinking and if there is anything to discuss they should liaise with the state saying they should be careful and calculative because management are always very smart.
