PDP CONGRESS: Ekedayen Sues For Unity Among Party Members

The Commissioner for Economy Planning, Delta State, Hon. Sonny Ekedayen has urged the newly Peoples Democratic Party,(PDP) Elected Executive in the state to unite the party, especially the aggrieved members to enable the party confront the challenges ahead as a big family.

Hon. Ekedayen gave the advice in an interview during the state congress election in Asaba on August 31, 2024.

Hon. Ekedayen commended the peaceful process of the election and advised that such process should be emulated in future elections.

He said; “if we can begin to inculcate and try to encourage this kind of activities, we will have less party friction and litigations, including all the negative vibes that come out from dissatisfied members”.

He maintained that the “the election process is excellent, people are allowed to exercise their franchise, voting rights for whoever they want”.

While he called on the newly elected executive to unite the party and bring together all factions , he insisted that PDP is the only party well known in the state.

According to him, “I will advise the newly elected executive to unite the party and bring together all factions, they should embrace all our members together, we can confront the challenges that lie ahead together”
