The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, earlier this week visited the proposed site for the construction of an Ultra-Modern ICT Hub.
This visit is in line with his administration’s #DoMoreAgenda, that on creating Digital Pathways for Youth Development. During his visit to the site, Barr Ajede emphasized that the construction of the ICT Hub is a crucial step towards fulfilling his campaign promise to invest massively in training Ukwuani youths in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Information Communication Technologies (ICTs).
The Ukwuani Digital Chairman as he is fondly called, hinted that the ICT Hub will function as a training center for enhancing the capacity of the youth in the LGA. He further stated that once the ICT Hub is completed, it will play a key role in equipping Ukwuani youths with the necessary technological skills, providing them with an advantage to excel in the digital era.
Barr Ajede further expressed his administration’s resolve to strategically empower Ukwuani youth to lead in digital innovation in Delta State and Nigeria as a whole.
Recall that during his electoral campaign, Barr Ajede promised to engage the youth in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Information Communication Technologies (ICTs), and large-scale mechanized farming.
The Council Boss expressed optimism that the ICT Hub have the potential to better position the youths to compete favourable in the digital space as well as transform the LGA into an agro-economic hub in the State.
