D-CARE: Ekedayen, Uduaghan Hails Oborevwori, Urges Beneficiaries To Create Wealth

The Delta State Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr. Sonny Ekedayen, and Commissioner for Girl Child Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Support Services, Orode Uduaghan, has called on beneficiaries of the 4th batch of Delta State Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus, ( D-CARE) to make judicious use of their various starter pack support by creating wealth.

The duo who spoke to newsmen in Asaba said, the program is one of the most people oriented World Bank-supported projects in Nigeria, and has impacted visibly to everyone.

Ekedayen urged beneficiaries to make effective use of the starter packs provided, warned against selling any of equipment

“Times are tough, and once you get this kind of opportunity, try to make the best use of it. These things are meant to help you generate money, build wealth, and migrate yourself from the position of abject poverty to the level of economic sustainability.

Adding separately, Uduaghan underscored the far-reaching impact of D-CARES, particularly in communities where funding is being allocated to essential services

She maintained that Governor Oborevwori will continues to support individuals with stipends, focusing on the most vulnerable populations, saying “even though the stipends may be small, they go a long way in supporting those who need it most,”

While noting that the state government has put measures in place particularly monitor the beneficiaries to ensure that the essence of the empowerment is achieved.
