Delta State commissioner for Girl Child Entrepreneurship and Humanitarian Support Services, Orode Meyiwa Uduaghan has said the ministry will be expanding and focusing more programmes to poor vulnerable households and also working harder on the menial of human trafficking and abuse for young girls.
Orode Uduaghan disclosed this on Thursday 17 of October 2024 during an interview at the state secretariat after the ministry budget defence.
Uduaghan noted that the humanitarian ministry had empowered over five thousand people through the MORE GRANT SCHEME programme for young girls across the 25 local government areas in the state.
She listed that the empowerment programme ranges from skills acquisition , entrepreneurial, saying more of the programmes will be rolled out before the end of 2024.
In her statement; ” we are going to continue with our grant programmes and expand more for younger girls”.
” We will roll out a lot of community support programme and work really hard around these menial of human trafficking, and abuse of young girls”.
” Also, there are programme for poor and vulnerable households, you can attest that Nigeria is getting tougher by the day and a lot of responsibilities rest on the humanitarian ministry, so we are to expand a lot of programme around the poor and vulnerable households”.
Uduaghan added that the aim is ensure that Deltans are happy and all empowerment programme was in line with the state Governor MORE AGENDA for better Detta state.
