The Delta State Ministry of Technical Education, has said her vision is to establish modern technical colleges across the 25 local government areas in the state while plans are on top gear to upgrade the existing ones saying the world is evolving into modern times.
Hon. Smart Ijeoma Ufoh disclosed this while addressing journalists immediately after the ministry budget defence at the state secretariat, Asaba.
Honourable Ufoh commended the team spirit of the staff of the ministry for coming out with a blueprint and have worked tirelessly to achieve the success of the budget defence that is estimated for 2025.
Ufoh maintained that the defence process was simplified and was given a nod for performing excellently being his first budget defence as the commissioner of the ministry.
The commissioner, while highlighting the ministry vision said, “our vision as a ministry is to establish modern technical colleges in the 25 local government areas in the state”
He explained that times are changing and the need to change to modern ways of doing things, adding “the world is driving towards a modern time, where modern technical colleges are using state-of-the-art facilities for learning, teaching”.
The commissioner added further that plans are also on ground for the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to commission the fourth modern technical college in Omadino, just as he commended journalists for showcasing and promoting the activities of the ministry.
