The Chief job and wealth creation officer, Delta state, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga has reaffirmed Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s commitment to creating more jobs and wealth for Deltans through his MORE AGENDA
He also confirmed that the Governor had given directive to create jobs for youths through the office of the job and wealth creation bureau.
Comrade Egwunyenga who spoke to journalists on Tuesday at the state secretariat in Asaba said the 2025 proposed budget with a new direction in job and wealth creation would contribute significantly to the economic growth in the state.
He stated further that the new initiative would move Delta forward just as he expressed belief that Deltans would be better off for it .
”The MORE Agenda of the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori will definitely take it to a new level from next year.”, he reassured.
According to Comrade Egwunyenga, the office will holistically look at how best to address the issues that bedevil job and wealth creation in the state, what is existing, how far we have come, what we need to do and where we are going to.
He explained further that in dealing with those issues one has to deploy a multi-facetted approach and not a one line issue.
The Delta State Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer admitted that the past administration in job and wealth creation had done a lot in vocational training, skills acquisition and lot more for Deltans, stressing that this new administration under Governor Oborevwori will diversify into skills that are market trending and push the economy and even help our youth work remotely from their homes.
He emphasized that the trending marketable skills would help youths to compete not only within the state but both nationally and internationally.
Comrade Egwunyenga added that they were looking forward to having partners in terms of helping to push the initiative and create opportunities for teeming youth in the state.
