President General of Ndokwa Neku Union, NNU General Mike Ndubisi has inaugurated NNU Electoral Committee. Their mandate was to set election guidelines and supervise the next election that would usher in new executive of the union.
The Electoral Committee members are Ogbuiji Elvis Kaine, Chairman, Mrs. Bridget Ajieh, member, Bishop Obi Ossai, member and
Madam Edna Ojieh, member.
The inauguration ceremony held on Monday, October 21, 2024.
The inaugural event started with the PG, NNU address in which he welcomed the ELECOM members on behalf of the NNU EXCO. He went further to thank the ELECOM members for their patriotism in accepting to serve Ndokwaland. He harped on the importance of a free, fair and transparent election which he believes the ELECOM will deliver with the caliber of men and women in the committee.
Finally, he pledged that the NNU EXCO will support the ELECOM whenever the need arises. This was followed by the inauguration of the ELECOM members.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of the ELECOM, the Chairman, Ogbuiji Kaine pledged that the committee will transparently conduct and deliver on the mandate ot the committee. He also thanked the EXCO for doing the needful, noting that, ensuring the smooth transition of power demonstrates the quality of leadership of the out-going Exco.
Among the NNU Exco present at the ceremony were Gen Mike Ndubisi Rtd, PG, Prof Chukwuemeka Ojione Ojieh, General Secretary, Engr Eugene Agadaga, PRO and the Youth Leader.
At the close of business, vote of thanks was rendered by the Secretary General followed by group photographs.
