The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon (Barr) C.S Possible Ajede, today inaugurated a Land Recovery Committee with a charge to recover all encroached Council lands, especially within the area designated for the stadium.
Members of the committee include Comrade Chika Uwabuofu (Chairman), Engr. Comrade Ogberetitinor Obatarhe (Secretary), Mr. Sunday Okolo, Chief Isaiah Enwelikwu, CSC Ekeke Onyekachi, and CSP Na-Allah Mohammed.
Other committee members are Chief Onwugbolu Michael, Chief Enuenwemba Duke (PG Eziokpor), Barr. (Mrs.) Veronica Inege, Mr. Oriaku Azubuike, and Mr. Ben Olokume.
In his response, the committee Chairman, Comrade Chika Uwabuofu, who is also the President General of the Obiaruku Community Development Association (OCDA), expressed his gratitude to the Council Chairman for giving them the opportunity to serve and help recover the Council’s lands.
He pledged the committee’s commitment to the task given to them, stating that they will be civil in their approach and will rigorously follow the land documents in the process of recovering the lands.
