The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government, Hon. (Barr) C.S. Possible Ajede, has received glowing commendations from the Chairman of Delta State Local Government Service Commission (LGSC), Asaba, Hon. Dcn. Joseph Otirhue, for his ingenious leadership, innovative and inclusive administrative style.
Hon. Otirhue gave this commendation during his visit to Ukwuani Local Government Council for the screening of local government staff and staff of the Local Education Authority ahead of the implementation of the New National Minimum Wage.
The Commission Chairman was represented by the member representing Delta South in the Delta State Local Government Service Commission, Princess Dame (Mrs.) Minnie Igbrude, PhD.
According to the Commission Chairman, Ukwuani Local Government Council is the best and most organized Local Government they have visited so far in Delta North Senatorial District since the screening exercise commenced.
In the words of Princess Mrs. Minnie Igbrude, “Ukwuani Local Government Council is the best we have visited so far in Delta North. This Council is by far the most organized, and your Chairman is a humble leader. The reception Ukwuani accorded us here is filled with so much dignity, and we are very grateful,” she stated.
Speaking further, the Commission Chairman commended the #DoMoreAgenda Torchbearer for his punctuality to work and commitment to grassroots governance and development. “You have a time-conscious Chairman, and it’s commendable,” he added.
Earlier, in his encapsulated welcome remarks, Barr Ajede applauded the Delta State Local Government Service Commission for embarking on the screening and physical verification of civil servants in the state, which he noted will further strengthen the state workforce and enhance productivity.
The Ukwuani Council Boss also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the State Governor, HE Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda while delivering on his mandate to the people.
While the screening was ongoing, the Ukwuani Council Chairman directed that Ukwuani Mobile Clinics provide free medical care for all the staff.
