The Commissioner for Urban Renewal Delta State, Engr Mike Anoka was today conferred with the award as a Fellow Of Nigeria Society of Engineers, FNSE. The colourful ceremony held at Abuja Trade and Convention Centre.
Conferring the award, the President, Nigeria Society of Engineers Engr. Magret Aina Oguntala FNSE said ” you are a worthy ambassador of this noble profession and I’m glad to welcome you to the zenith of this professional body.”
Responding, Engr Mike Anoka said he was particularly happy to be bestowed with the title and that it was a dream come through. He said as an Engineering student in the university he had hoped to become a Fellow of the body and worked assiduously to achieve it. He used the occasion to admonish younger Engineers and students to be more committed to their career, stressing that there is no short cut to success. He pledged to uphold the core values of the professional body.
Engr Anoka is a product of Ogume Grammar School, Ogume, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State and the Patron Delta Regional Branch of Ogume Grammar School Old Students Association (OGSOSA).
