The leadership of All Progressives Congress APC in Ndokwa West Local West Local Government Area has dissociated itself from the porported endorsement and imposition of Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege as the National Leader of the Political party in Delta State. In a document signed by Chief Patrick Ishie, Chief Robinson Izuh and Hon Justice Ogwe, on behalf of the party, was made available to the press APC leaders in the LGA said that ,”We wish to bring to the attention of the general public that no single National leader was adopted or endorsed as the sole national leader of Delta State APC by Ndokwa West leadership and stakeholders at the meeting held at Dr. Eugene Okolocha’s residence in Abbi on December 31, 2024.”

They alleged that what was supposed to be a stakeholders’ meeting to discuss the growth and progress of the local government was hijacked by a section of the party members in the area, who tried to impose Senator Ovie Omo-Agege as the sole national leader of Delta state by Ndokwa West leadership Council and stakeholders. According to them, the move was strongly opposed by Hon. Justice Ogwe, Chief Engr. Patrick Ishie, and other leaders. To make matters worse, the document stated, thugs were allegedly planted at the meeting venue to create chaos and violence, aimed at intimidating and scaring away those who opposed the power grab. “We want to make it clear that Ndokwa West is too big to be controlled by one person, who is not from Delta North Senatorial District. We’re part of Delta North in Delta State, and we won’t be swayed by selfish interests.” they asserted and urged the public to disregard the fake vote of confidence by some leaders, suggesting that a sole national leader has been endorsed and recognized by Ndokwa West APC.

The document stated further that such claims are false and misleading by those who are only fighting for their own interests. ,”This is nothing but a desperate attempt to seize power in Ndokwa West. We say no to intimidation and oppression of all APC leaders in this Local Government Area” they noted.
