The Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria(ACNPN), Delta State Council, has commended Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori for receiving the prestigious “Governor of the Year” (Infrastructure)” award of the New Telegraph, describing it as a well-earned recognition of his unwavering commitment to transforming Delta State.
ACNPN have celebrated the governor, describing the development as a testimony of his tremendous and transformative delivery of the dividends of democracy to the grassroots people of the state.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of ACNPN, Delta State Council, Comrade Ike Philip Abiagom, He congratulated the governor on behalf of the Community Newspaper Publishers, calling the award a reflection of his exceptional leadership and the significant progress made under his administration.
Abiagom stressed that the entire members of the Community Newspaper Publishers, were proud to be associated with the Governor’s achievements and looked forward to continued collaborative efforts in building a better Delta State.
The Chairman expressed optimism that the award would inspire the Governor to sustain the delivery of exceptional service to the people of Delta State.
He said, “On behalf of the ACNPN, I felicitate our amiable Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, on the prestigious ‘Governor of the Year (Infrastructure) award bestowed on him by the New Telegraph.
“Delta is obviously number one in mega infrastructure development, prudent management of state resources without borrowing to fund projects, best in sports development, enhancing peace and security, and many more.
“As a man with street credibility, you are in touch with the grassroots and, as you are building infrastructure, You are also building our people because you may have infrastructure and the people are hungry.
Your leadership and vision have been exemplary and commendable . We use this opportunity to reaffirm Community Newspaper Publisher’s commitment to supporting the Governor in his administration’s development vision of MORE agenda”, Abiagom stated.
