South South Writers To Converge in Ukwuani

Writers from South South Geo-political zone under the aegis of South South Writers Forum will be having the maiden edition of their international convention in Ukwuani land. They are expected to arrive on March 13, 2025 and depart on March 16, 2025.

A total of 50 delegates from six states of the region are expected for the epoch making event. The arrangement was in honour of the Publisher/ Editor-in-Chief of Ndokwa Vanguard, Alaska Ekele. He is the chief host.

The convention is loaded with a lot of activities some of which are: Presentation of Certificate of Registration from Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, Sanitation outreach, Adoption of the constitution, Election, Lectures, Visit to places of interest, Awards and so on.

The Theme of the Convention is Building the Creative Economy of the South South Region of Nigeria: The Role of Writers. The Keynote Speaker is Dr Peter Omoko of Delta State University, Abraka.

In the light of this, Alaska Ekele is calling on spirited sons and daughters for financial support and also inviting people to take advantage of the Convention and register as members.

Members are drawn from all walks of life and not limited to Publishers and Authors. Students as well as corporate organizations are also encouraged to join the noble group.
