
Today, the Nigeria Forest Security Services (NFSS) honored High Chief Solomon Igwulu from Umutu Community by naming him the Grand Patron of the NFSS, as well as the Advisory Chairman for all patrons across Nigeria.
This formal recognition stemmed from his extensive experience and significant contributions to the initiatives of the Nigeria Forest Security Services.
Delta State Commander of the NFSS, Amb. Dr. Johnathan Obokohwemu, expressed his enthusiasm about witnessing this historic occasion, bestowing the title of Grand Patron and Advisory Chairman of the Patrons upon Chief Solomon Igwulu, whom he affectionately refers to as a father figure. Chief Igwulu’s role will involve providing guidance to all patrons in the 36 states across Nigeria.
Upon receiving the title, Chief Solomon Igwulu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the NFSS for the recognition. He pledged to collaborate closely with NFSS members and other security personnel to combat crime in Ukwuani and to promote peace within the communities.
He further emphasized the NFSS’s commitment to partnering with other security forces and working alongside the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani, Hon. Barr. Ajede Possible, to ensure the protection of forests and address the threats posed by kidnappers and other criminal elements hiding in the bushes.
The event highlights included the commissioning of the NFSS office located on Palace Road in Umutu and the decoration of the NFSS head officer in Umutu.
Dignitaries from the local government area and security agencies attended to honor the occasion, including Surv. Azuka Enebeli, DESOPADEC Commissioner, Ward 1 Councillors, former Councillors, Supervisory Councillor, SA’s to the Governor,Traditional Leaders from Umutu, Ebedei & Umuaja, representatives from the Nigeria Police, DSS, Road Safety, Nigerian Army, and numerous other invited guests.
