Delta and Lagos States Houses of Assembly speakers, Hon. Dennis Guwor and Hon. Mudashiru Obasa have vowed to strengthen interstate legislative ties for the growth and benefits of both states and her citizens.
The duo made the promise at Asaba, Delta State Capital, immediately after formal ceremony that heralded the movement of the state Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori and entire structure of the PDP in the state to APC.
While commending the Lagos state speaker for the visit, Guwor said both states have great potentials for growth.
Hon. Guwor emphasized that effective legislative and cooperation would further promote good governance in both states and improve the wellbeing of the people.
He said; ” Mr. Speaker, i am delighted to welcome you to Delta State and my humble abode. This visit is well appreciated as it has strengthened legislative ties both Delta and Lagos state”
“There is lots of potential, and collaborations between our Assemblies. Let’s explore areas of mutual interest and support each other’s initiatives”
“Our states share common goals. We will continue to discuss ways to foster economic growth, infrastructure development, and social progress”.
Responding, the Speaker, Lagos State Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa, commended the Delta Speaker for his warm reception, saying that the visit was as a result of growing friendship between them and Lagos state.
Hon. Obasa, however, described Delta state Governor, as a personal friend, saying that his movement to APC, together with the entire PDP structure in the state will enhance development while he looks forward to exploring more opportunities
