
The Delta Poultry Farmers Association (DPFA) has rallied around to support her members across the state
The state leader of the association Mrs Eunice Agha stated this during a sensitization engagement, said it takes every forward-thinking organization that dedicated to support poultry farmers in the State and Nigeria at large.
According to her, the association mission was to enhance productivity and sustainability in poultry farming through research, innovation, education, and collaboration.
“We are poised to promoting innovation and engage in research, as well as facilitating research-driven solutions and advanced poultry farming techniques to improve efficiency, disease management and feed optimization.
“We are also advocating for sustainability and Animal Welfare, Promoting eco-friendly poultry farming methods that minimize waste, enhance productivity, and align with national and international agricultural standards”.
Mrs Agha added that the association targeted by providing education and training, equipping poultry farmers with technical and entrepreneurial skills through workshops, seminars, and mentorship programs.
She explained that the association also encourages collaboration and industry growth, providing platforms for poultry farmers to engage in meaningful networking, partnerships and cooperative efforts.
The leader noted that the association launched a member verification exercise to ensure industry integrity and promote sustainable practices.
“We hosted strategic meetings on farm management to strengthen poultry farming practices and boost productivity, received support from the Delta State Government, including distribution of maize to poultry farmers to mitigate challenges.
