Delta State Commissioner for Works,( Urban and Highways), Hon. Reuben Izeze has disclosed that the state governor is poised to support economic activities and regional connectivity across the state.
The Commissioner, who spoke to journalists on Monday at his office in Asaba said the approval of the two additional flyovers in Ughelli and Agbor, respectively, will decongest traffic gridlock and be accident-free in both axis.
The Commissioner explained that the goal is to ease traffic congestion, enhance road safety, support economic activities, and improve regional connectivity.
While giving a hint on the overview of the flyovers, he said the Ughelli flyover will involve the construction of a 382m bridge of 17 spans with beams of 22.5m each with 2 lane carriageways in each direction, including a ramp and a roundabout with a time line of 24 months.
The Commissioner noted further that the state government has been known for the engagement of reputable contractors.
