Delta State Police has urged corps members in the state to remain good ambassadors, and shun all forms of violence.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Edafe Bright disclosed this at the NYSC orientation camp at Iselele-Uku during a lecture series on cybercrime, law enforcement, and the rights and responsibilities of citizens.
Edafe said the lecture engagement with the NYSC corps members was in compliance with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetun with a view to reshaping their minds for a better life ahead of them.
SP Edafe explained that corps members were lectured on cybercrime, law enforcement, rights and responsibility of citizens, police accountability, and community Policing.
He said the lecture engagement, was an interactive session where questions and observations were raised, which were given proper answers to the delight of the corpers in attendance.
He added that corps members were also encouraged to remain good ambassadors, stay away from crime, shun all forms of violence, be kind, and be honest in their future endeavours.
Edafe emphasized the importance of knowing their rights and the rights of others and that anything that could take away their freedoms should be avoided at all costs.
