Chief (Mrs.) Cynthia Oputa-Governor and her entourage have taken the voter’s registration sensitization campaign tour to marketplaces, beginning from Obiaruku market in Ukwuani local government area to Onicha-Ukwuani market and other communities within the Ndokwa axis.
The voters sensitization campaign tour aimed at mobilizing Ndokwa women to leverage the ongoing national voters registration exercise.
The campaign also aimed at seeking the civic and cultural duty to encourage and educate Ndokwa women on the workable principles of democracy, including the imperative of hoisting a large VOTE-BANK in Ndokwa Nation.
According to the message during the campaign tour, “Come out en masse and register for your voter’s card. Your voter’s card makes the concept of equality of human-persons a reality. “One-person-one voter.”
Others are, “Your voter card is your MEAL TICKET. This is true because it makes your demand for a fair share from the public pot reasonable, ” We want to use the opportunity of the ongoing voter’s registration exercise to boost the vote-bank of Ndokwa Nation.”
The added “The current statistics of registered voters in Ndokwa Nation are not impressive. Our women have both the population and the capability to get Ndokwa Nation on the front burner of democratic competition through massive voters registration.”
