As the Biennial Police Games enter day four, Zone 13 is leading the Cricket medals table with three victories in their encounters while Zone 10 is currently in the second position having won two of the matches contested
Force Headquarters athletes won the first Cricket run of the games as they created Super Over 8 runs against their opponent Zone 8 who had 4runs after they ended the first runs at 39 per.
Zone 2 succumbed to Zone 13 in the second batch of the game, recording slightly lower as Zone 13 had 30 runs -29runs but recovered in the match against Zone 10 by playing 18 runs to -12 runs from opponent just as Zone 10 won the game against Force Head Quarters, playing 23 runs -18 runs.
Force Headquarters equally bowed to Zone 13 who won with 27runs – 25run of Force Head Quarter. Zone 10 competed against Zone 8 and triumphed with 30 runs – 16 runs.
Zone 13 confronted Zone 10 and won the game with 28 runs – 22 runs. Zone 2 also triumphed over Zone 8 with 36 runs – 39 runs.
Meanwhile, the Delta State Police Command has notified residents of Ogwashi-Uku and the general public that the Shooting event of the ongoing 15th Biennial Nigeria Police Games, tagged “BIPOGA Asaba 2026,” has commenced at the Base 31 Police Mobile Force Shooting Range along Asaba –Kwale Road.
According to the Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP. Bright Edafe, in a statement in Asaba, all necessary safety and operational measures have been put in place, and urged the public not to panic.
He noted that access to the immediate vicinity of the range will be temporarily restricted during the event period.
The PPRO urged residents and road users to comply with all safety and traffic directives.
SP Edafe reaffirmed the commitment of the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Aina Adesola, to safety and professionalism.
