The Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has extended his warmest congratulations to Rt Hon Victor Ochei, former Speaker of the 5th Delta State Assembly, on his 57th birthday.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker extolled the sterling leadership prowess of the celebrant and his remarkable achievements when he presided over the affairs of the Delta State House of Assembly between 2011 to 2014.
The celebrant, Rt Hon Ochei, is the immediate past Executive Director, Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), where he also acted as Executive Director, Operations and currently serving as the President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation (NTF).
Rt Hon Guwor described the former Speaker as a brilliant, forward-looking, and dedicated public servant who has made significant contributions to the growth and development of Delta State and the nation at large.
He noted that Rt Hon Ochei’s experience, wisdom, and commitment to public service are invaluable assets to the state and the nation, and extended heartfelt felicitations to him as he turns 57 today.
Speaker Guwor prayed to God to grant the celebrant continued good health, wisdom, and strength in the years ahead.
“Ochei’s leadership in the Delta State Assembly was top-notch, and his legacy is very inspiring in the state and beyond. As he celebrates this milestone, I pray that God will bless him with many more years of fruitful service to humanity.”
The Speaker also commended Ochei’s passion for sports development, particularly his leadership role as President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, and expressed confidence that he would continue to make significant contributions to the growth of sports in Nigeria.
