
The Executive Chairman ,Ukwuani Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. C.S Possible Ajede has commended the collaboration between the office of the LEA Secretary, Dcn. Monday Onoakpome, Primary School Head Teachers, and Teachers across the Local Government Area.
The do more agenda advocate gave this commendation during the Young Learners Science Club Exhibition at the Local Education Authority Building Complex in Obiaruku, which featured the processes of producing various house hold items from start to finish by the Primary school Pupils in the area.
The Councils boss lauded the aforementioned group of persons
for coordinating the Pupils who displayed different talents in the production of Vaseline Cream, produced by Model Primary School, Obiaruku, and Umukwata Primary School Obinomba, Local Black Soap, by Umuaja Primary School Umuaja, Ododo Primary School Amai, and Ekum Primary School Amai Umuekum, Liquid Bleach produced by Emeni Primary School Obiaruku, Otolom Primary School Ezionum, and Ezhike Primary School Obioluku, Sugar Baby Perfume by Ezegbuochu Primary School Obiaruku, Air Freshener produced by Esume Uku Primary School Obiaruku, Insect Killer produced by Ukwata Primary School Umukwata, Liquid Soap by Obinomba Primary School Owa abbi, and Umuebu Primary School Umuebu, Soda Soap produced by Ekpemili Primary School Obi-Ogene, and Emulsion Paint produced by Nge Primary School Amai Nge.
Barr. Ajede further praised the LEA officials under the leadership of the Secretary , for what he termed changing the narratives in recent times, even as he opined that there is great difference between Ukwuani and other Local Governments in Nigeria resulting from oneness of purpose in Education sector in Ukwuani.
“You tried to catch them young, both in the areas of their academic pursuit and in recent times, diversifying to set them on the pace and part of progress through innovative ideas, in line with the bibles admonition to train up a child in the way he should go and even when he grows up, he would not depart from it.”he said.
The Education Ambassador Barr Ajede recapitulated that every Ukwuani pupils should be tutored on good morals in the early part of their lives, eco information such that they can compete with their mates in the committee of Local Governments, and internationally, even as he celebrated the team leaders among the pupils, who displayed strengths and intelligence at the event by giving detailed step by step procedures of every item their schools produced and exhibited.
According to the Executive Chairman , recently ,under the Ajede led administration ,Ukwuani organised the “Girl Child” programme where a massive display of raw tallents was recorded.
The Ome Ife Oma 1 of obiaruku also acknowledged that the trajectory where people graduate from school without learning any skill is no longer advised not only in Nigeria but all over the world.
He therefore enjoined the school authorities that apart from trying to inbibe western education ,they should also endeavour to make use of locally available raw materials as this can make production processes easier and more affordable.
