Energia, Oando Dish-Out Free Medical Treatment To Obodougwa Community

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Energia/Oando joint venture has on Friday given out free community health medical checkup and treatment to its host community Obodougwa and Umusam Ogbe both in Ndokwa West local government area, Delta state. The events held in the communities on Friday and Saturday. They also planned to extend this gesture to Umusadege Ogbe, Ogbeani, Ogbole Ogume tomorrow and Emu Ebendo on Monday December 11, 2023

The community health outreach programme which excite the community residents witnessed a massive turnout with children, youths and the elderly in the community in joyous mood.

In a chat with the Community Development Committee, (CDC) chairman, comrade Anslem Oyibo, he commended the companies joint venture for rolling out the free community health outreach medical checkup, saying the programme has immense impact on the Obodougwa residents.

Comrade Anslem advised that the oil rich company should take advantage of the community peaceful cooperation to attract more meaningful developments that are of great importance to the growth of the Obodougwa and all other outstanding agreements be reached.

Also commended the kind gesture of the Energia-Oando joint venture, community health outreach programme. Mr Aghanenu Eric, a beneficiary of the free medical outreach, said the oil firm has shown a great relief to the community in reaching out to them medically heath wise, that this medical outreach should be an annual event.

Other beneficiaries who spoke to the press Mrs. Roda Ossai expressed happiness at the community health outreach programme, saying that it has helped her reduce expenses, especially on medical bills and also wanted the programme to continue on an annual basis, while others thanked Energia/Oando for coming to their aid at a time when things seem difficult and cost of drugs are high in the country.
