The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria has elected Chief Goodluck Ofobruku, Delta State NLC chairman as the new Deputy National President to pilot the affairs of union as in a period stipulated in their constitution
This was contained in a statement made available to newsmen at the end of the 11th quadrennial national delegates conference of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria held from the 4th to the 9th of March 2024 at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
Some of the newly elected members of the National Executive of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria includwa; Kabiru Ado Sani Minjibir, National President, Chief Goodluck Ofobruku, Deputy National President, Sunday Adetula, National vice president South-West; Satomi Hikama, North East; Husseini Hamisu Yanduna, North West; Saheed Muritala Olayinka, North Central; Ogbonnaya Okoro, South-East; Barnabas C. Simon, South-South.
Others are; Chinwe Orizu, national treasurer; Olufemi Adebisi, national trustee; Dennis Nyam, national publicity secretary and National Auditors, Olusegun Siwoke; Yusuf Inuwa.
For NEC Members; Olalibo Tubotamuno Gogo Kingsley, South-South; Fidelis Ngwam, North Central; Tinuke Sobowale Daini, South-West;Aminu Ikara, North-West; Ibrahim Mohammed, North-East;Eze Emmanuel, South-East;Jude Ugwoke, South-East; Jawali G. The newly elected Medical and Health Workers Union are to served In pursuance of the provisions of the constitution of the union the statement added.
The statement also revealed that the newly elected leaders have since assumed office after being sworn in in accordance with the provisions of the constitution of the union.
The Medical and Health Workers Union is one of the biggest affiliates of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
