Works Commissioner Reaffirms Oborevwori’s Commitment To Complete All Projects

Delta state commissioner for works, rural and riverine road, Mr. Charles Aniagwu has reaffirmed that His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori is committed to completing all ongoing projects across the state

Aniagwu gave the Reaffirmation when he received the Indigenous Correspondent Chapel, (ICC) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in his office at Asaba.

The commissioner, when responding to some issues raised by the chairman of the indigenous correspondent chapel, first, commended the union for deeming it for recognizing the effort the state government is putting to better the lives of Deltans in infrastructural development.

The commissioner noted while explaining some challenges posed during road construction, adding that in must cases they are unforeseen circumstances that may not be attributed to the contractors handling the projects

The commissioner added further that issues may have arise during and even after the construction, but that is not a measurement of contractors of being incompetent, stressing that must times pressure from heavyweight vehicles can cause those damages.

The commissioner while correcting the impression of claims of projects that have been abandoned by contractors, he said such are not factual, but the contractor may work with weather condition of the moment and other factors which could be financial constraints.

Aniagwu, however, assure the union of robust partnership to create awareness of the ministry’s activities.

Earlier, during his welcome address, the chairman of indigenous correspondent, comrade Kenneth Orusi disclosed that the purpose of the visit is to collaborate with the ministry of works rural and riverine road in promoting its activities in line with the Governor’s MORE Agenda in affecting Deltans.
