Guwor Enjoins Nigerians In Diaspora To Remain Committed In Nation Development Of Father’s Land

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor has charged Nigerians in diaspora to remain committed to the development of Nigeria.

Guwor gave the charged during his remarks at the ceremony organized by Nigerians in Diaspora,(NIDOA), Atlanta Georgia, USA, to mark the Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.

The speaker, who was ably represented by his chief press secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke underscore Nigerians contributions and resourcefulness as a vital tool to the progress of the nation.

He called on Nigerians in Diaspora to harness their collective potentials to drive socio-economic transformation in Nigeria.

Guwor, commended Nigerians for their unity in Diaspora irrespective of their states and tribes but, have the desire to contribute to the country’s development.

According to the speaker; ” remain committed to the development of your father land, your contributions, expertise, and resources are vital to the progress of the nation”.

“Harness your collective potentials to drive socio-economic transformation in Nigeria.

“I must commend you people who are from different states and tribes in Nigeria but united by heritage and the desire to contribute to the country’s growth and development”

“As we celebrate this milestone, let us reflect on our collective aspirations for a prosperous Nigeria, we must continue to work together to address our nation’s challenges and harness opportunities for growth.

“As a people, we must honour the nation’s progress, and every one of us has pivotal roles to play in promoting the nation’s interests globally”, Guwor emphasized.

“I charged you all to do more in fostering economic ties, cultural exchange, and knowledge transfer between Nigeria and the United States of America”.

Guwor,also congratulated Dr. Victor Azuka Ubani, a Delta US based Medical Practitioner and Philanthropist who was honoured at the ceremony with the “Outstanding Citizen in Leadership Award” in recognition of his commitment and unwavering dedication to a better society.

He described the award as well deserved, maintaining that the achievement demonstrates the excellence and resilience that define Deltans.

The event held at Rendezvous Lounge, Pleasanthill, Duluth, Atlanta Georgia, saw many dignitaries with America and Nigeria dual citizenship gathered to celebrate one another and seek ways for a better Nigeria.
