The Oracle turned Miracle of Delta Politics, the Odogwu of Anioma, the lion, king of the political jungle,a man who commands respect and inspiring awe without demanding it, even when the political jungle is turbulent ,Senator Nwaoboshi’s majesty remains unchallenged. Like him or hate him, Most Distinguished Senator Peter Onyelukachukwu Nwaoboshi(SPON) is an enigma. I am convinced that God has granted him a special grace to influence the course of events in this Delta for good.
There is no living Deltan leader who is like him in politics and I cannot easily remember any Delta leader who was quite like Oracl,He is unique in many respects.
When you ask for the list of good leaders Delta has or had, you will be amazed to also find Oracle’s name sitting pretty with such leaders. Again what did he do to merit this classification? You will hear: he started the war against equity in Delta State,His scorecard as a distinguished senator between 2015 to 2023 (Eight years)are mind-boggling,His pedigree and achievements as our senator cannot be quantified with any Delta North Senator dead or living,the vast majority of Anioma people look unto him as their tested, trusted leader, rescuer and solution provider. To our Anioma people, he is rightly the leader that has bailed Anioma nation from political and socio-economic stagnation at the red chambers(senate). His audacious entrance into the 2015 Senate race in the state is widely perceived as the best thing that ever happened to Delta North. He was among the founding fathers of PDP in Delta State, a party that ruled Delta State for 26 years, that is ORACLE for you.
Senator Nwaoboshi grasps the reigns of power, as Delta North’s most celebrated Senator of the 8th and 9th Assembly “THE SENATE”, blazing the trail since 2015 to 2023 and having carved a niche for himself as the most proactive and influential representative ever from Anioma Nation. But if you ask me, I will, like the man born blind who was healed by Jesus and whom the Jews pressed to declare Jesus a bad man declare as follows. Whether Oracle is a good leader or a bad one, I do not know. But what I know is that he is an enigma and has become like Elijah, the man that troubleth Delta politics. He is a man with robust political experience and wide range of political influence.
Last week he returned to his regular political beats he has been absent – the voice in the desert. The man who gives voice to the feelings of the people of Delta, a kind of prophet who speaks without fear but often with favour. The man who midwifed the emergence of the first Delta North governor in 2015.
Senator Nwaoboshi’s imminent return to Delta Politics has sparked jubilation in his town( Ibusa)local government and state with many of his political associates eagerly awaiting his return to take over his position as their supreme leader. He has remained a powerful and popular political figure with huge influence on politics in Delta and Nigeria.
As the 2027 general election is drawing closer, the politics of Delta State has taken a new dimension following the total transition of the entire state PDP to the ruling APC.The defection of Governor Sheriff Oborewori, Ifeanyi Okowa and the entire Peoples Democratic Party members in the state to the All Progressives Congress marks a significant turning point in the state’s politics. It was a shock to the people of the state last month when the news of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State and his predecessor, Ifeanyi Okowa’s defection, filtered through the town.
Senator Nwaoboshi has returned to reclaim his position as one of the true leaders of the Delta North and Oshimili politics. Politics, they say, is all about interest with no permanent enemy. You will see the true leadership of Senator Nwaoboshi.
