Delta State Government has said all the equipment that are necessary to kick start the mega Kwale and Ogwashi-Uku agro-industrial parks are already in place, but only waiting for reliable investors for engagement.
The sate government disclosed this during an interview on Wednesday 13 of August, 2025 through the Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Hon. Samuel Oligida, at the state secretariat, in Asaba.
The Commissioner while highlighting the successes of the State Governor MORE agenda mantra, said the Oborevwori’s administration had taken major steps to woo investors to the state for business growth,and development across all sectors.
The Commissioner hinted that major reforms were also being carried out in policies review for the present days reality in the business sectors.
He said; “ Delta State has to a review her industrial policies, we call it “Business Bible of the state.”
“The first industrial policy was introduced in 2013 and has never been updated until now. The new version is tailored to fit into the MORE agenda and is designed to guide investors, and business”.
He explained that the aim of the policy review was to improve the ease of doing business, especially for small-scale businesses in the state.
Also the Honourable Commissioner clarified that the Skill Acquisition Centre in Issele-Uku, had never been abandoned, adding that the ministry had visited the place to ascertain the true position, saying the state government is passionate for skills acquisition and doing everything necessary to partner private sector.
Similarly, the Commissioner noted that Delta State would serve as a hub for business, with the innovation of modern markets that the administration of Governor Oborevwori has embarked on in Udu, Ozoro, and other parts of the state.
