Senator Osakwe’s country home burgled News

The country home of late Sen Patrick Osakwe has been allegedly burgled by a one time Councillor in Ndokwa West Local Government Delta State
The suspect, Hon Fidelis Okpuenyi and Mr Chukwutem Odini were employed by late Senator Osakwe to manage both the home and oil palm plantation. It was reported that while Senator Osakwe was battling with his health in the hospital the suspect Fidelis Okpuenyi hired the services of a transporter with whom he arranged and made away with soundproof generating set, lister engine, pumping machine, furniture, cables, 21 electric poles and some vital parts of the transformer in the compound. It was a successful mission as nobody challenged them and were not caught.
Having succeeded in the first attempt, the suspect arranged again and made away with a bag of rice and kegs of red oil worth N400,000 which were stored in the compound. However, they ran out of luck as the police at Kwale apprehended the driver and two others while heading towards Ozoro end of Kwale/Ughelli road.
During preliminary investigation, Mr Chukwutem Odini confirmed that it was Hon Fidelis Okpuenyi that made away with the items. He was the one that disclosed the items stolen earlier by the said Hon Fidelis Okpuenyi. This startling revelation led to the arrest of the principal suspect. The suspect was later released on bail. Since his release he was yet to report at the station prompting the police at Kwale to launch a manhunt on him.
Ndokwa Vanguard made attempts to reach the Divisional Police Officer, DPO Kwale for comment but to no avail. However, competent police source confirmed the story.
