DESOPADEC Commissioner Olisa Reveals Plans For Constituent

A Commissioner representing Ndokwa East Ethnic Nationality in the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission ( DESOPADEC), Hon. (Chief) Charles Olisa has highlighted major plans towards developing his Constituency and empowering youths across the board.

The commissioner hinted majorly on prioritizing projects that are based on the community needs and engaging critical stakeholders of the community to brainstorm on their necessity.

The Commissioner disclosed this on Tuesday in a media chat with newmen,in Kwale, Ndokwa East Local Government Area, Delta state

He explained that prioritize projects based on the community needs will give a sense of belonging and that such projects will contribute immensely to the overall development of the communities

While commended his predecessors for their respective roles in the board, said, there is also room for more improvement, saying such improvement will mean engaging the communities and having their feedbacks to ensure the commission knows those projects that are needed mostly.

He maintained that the commission is committed to executing projects that will be lasting impacts in their respective communities and better development.

On lights, the commissioner revealed that plans are in top gear with BEDC in restalling the epileptic power supply in the community and Ndokwa Nation in general.

He said ” we will engage the BEDC to improve on the power delivery and supply in Ndokwa Ethic Nationality, and Synergize with the member representing Ndokwa in the state House of Assembly to put pressure on those responsible for the stepping down of the Independent Power Plant( IPP) to enable the communities have a sustainable power supply.

He said the commission equally have various programmes for youths and the programmes have been set aside for them to be self-reliant and independent, saying process is transparent and all-inclusive to ensure that youths can have access it

On fuel subsidy removal, the commissioner said he is optimistic that petroleum refined products will drop owing to the competition and that subsidy removal will impact positively on the economy and more development, projects will be executed in the state and even as a Commission.
