Ogwashi-Uku Boundary Crisis: Am In Support Of Govt Stand On Commission of Inquiry…A.C Okocha

Following the lingering disputes of true ownership of lands in Ogwashi-Uku, a prominent son and a business tycoon in Aniocha South Local government area, Chief Andrew Chukwudi Okocha has thrown his support behind the Hon Justice Emudainohwo led Commission of Inquiry into the protracted disputes emanating from land grabbing and boundary tussles.

The Ogwashi Uku political leader stated unequivocally that, the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori administration was on track in engendering lasting solutions, towards peaceful resolution of the land and boundary tussles in and around, Ogwashi uku.

Chief Okocha while lamenting the needless loss of lives as disclosed by the Acting Governor , Sir Monday Onyeme, at Asaba on Monday 8th October 2024, said the Commission of Inquiry instituted by the State Government, further demonstrates the MORE agenda of Governor Oborevwori, who, in his avowed determination to ensure peace and meaningful plank for development, decided to constitute the panel of inquiry.

The Ogwashi Uku Political Leaders and Elders Forum ( OPLEF), National Chairman, opined, that considering the rumbles associated with land grabbing, ostensibly masterminded by OKWABANIS, who are clan heads appointed by the Obi of Ogwashi Uku, Obi lfechukwude Okonjo, and in consonance with their over bearing attitude which has resulted to the loss of lives and property , resulting in needless umbrage and angst, the Oborevwori administration is primed towards resolving the dispute.

According to Okocha; “l am pleased that Delta State government has set up the Commission of Inquiry, headed by my Lord, Hon Justice Ejiro Emudainohwo, to look into the immediate and remote causes, of disputes, arising from allegations of land grabbing and boundary tussles. This is a step in the right direction. I urge all Ogwashi Uku kith and kin, to be dispassionate, neutral, and truthful , to the Commission of Inquiry, in their submissions”.

Chief Okocha said the Commission of Inquiry instituted by the State government, further demonstrates the MORE agenda of Governor Oborevwori, who, in his avowed determination to ensure peace, a meaningful plank for development, decided to constitute the panel of inquiry.

The Ogwashi Uku kingdom in Aniocha South local government maximum political leader , therefore tasked Ogwashians , to firmly cooperate with the Justice Emudainohwo panel of Inquiry , to entrench a more united and purposeful kingdom .
