A member of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Bridget Ayanfulu, has unveiled Inter-School quiz competition to curb examination malpractice and other social vices in Schools.
Ayanfulu, representing Oshimili South constituency also said that the quiz competition would build confidence in the learning capacity for both Pupils and Secondary Schools Students in her constituency.
While unveiling the first phase of the quiz competition in Asaba, the State capital, the lawmaker disclosed that the quiz programme would correct the negative impression of public perception towards public schools.
” We are doing this programme because it is now obvious that people are neglecting the public schools. I went to public schools throughout my education. So, I want us to strengthen the capacity of these children for them to have confidence to seriously compete with other Schools irrespective of location”, she advised.
She commended teachers and other stakeholders in education for the character molding of the students who she said are expected to be upright in their daily activities.
