In a bold move to combat cultism, drug abuse, and other social vices in Igbuzo community, the Indomitable Union, a group made up of committed and like-minded Igbuzo youths, has strengthened its community security efforts with the donation of three motorcycles for patrol operations across the town.
The motorcycles were donated by the Co-ordinator of the group, Chief Zikky Nwabuwa, and distributed to the three major quarters that make up Igbuzo community — Otu Odogwu, Otu Iyase, and Otu Uwolo.
Speaking during the presentation, members of the Union explained that the motorcycles would be used for regular patrol and monitoring of suspicious activities within the community, with the aim of curbing cult-related violence, hard drug abuse, and other criminal acts threatening the peace of Igbuzo.
The initiative, according to the group, is part of a broader grassroots effort to restore sanity, unity, and security in the community through youth-driven volunteer service.
In further support of the noble cause, prominent stakeholders and philanthropists within the Union made significant financial contributions toward the operations of the group.
Mr. Marvin Mordi donated the sum of One Million Naira to support the activities of the Union, while the Chairman of Jerry Jays Properties Ltd, Chief Jerry Ofuogu, also made a donation of One Million Naira.
Additionally, Awele Anyaobi contributed another Fifty Thousand Naira to further encourage the initiative.
Residents and community leaders have continued to commend the efforts of the Indomitable Union, describing the group as a beacon of hope in the fight against insecurity and social decadence among youths in Igbuzo.
Many expressed optimism that the initiative would help reduce criminal activities and strengthen peace and development within the community.
Prayers were also offered for the benefactors and members of the Union, with community members asking God to grant them wisdom, strength, protection, and prosperity as they continue to work for the progress and safety of Igbuzo Kingdom.
