A Veteran journalist and media strategist, Mr. Nkem Osu has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), bringing to an end his decade-long association with the ruling political party.
In a resignation letter made available to journalists, Osu said his decision followed “genuine and careful personal consideration.”
The resignation letter reads, “I wish to officially resign my membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), operative immediately.”
He added that the decision to resign stems from his genuine and careful personal consideration.
He, however, appreciates the decade-long opportunity given to him to associate with the party, the APC.
He also expressed gratitude to the party for the opportunities and experiences gained during his years of membership and requested that his resignation be accepted.
Before his resignation, he is a respected figure in Nigeria’s print and electronic media industry, with a career spanning journalism, public relations, government communications, and political advocacy.
During his time within the APC political family, he served as Director of Public Relations and Communication for the Amalgamated APC Support Group, where he played a key role in media engagement and strategic communication.
He has also previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Media Consultant to Victor Ochei, the Speaker Emeritus of the Delta State House of Assembly.
