The Publisher of Nel Xpress Magazine and Television, Comrade Nelson Obukowho Agbajor on January 15, flagged off the 2024 Education Campaign Project in Delta State with a call on government and parents to strengthen the educational system for more productivity and efficiency and as well inculcate morals into children that are leaders of tomorrow.

Speaking during the visit to the various schools, the publisher noted that the idea of giving back to the society is very key in line with the editorial policy of the media organization.

Agbajor emphasized the importance of education as a vital aspect of humans and society, called for a collaborating effort to complement the effort of the Delta State Government, that government alone cannot do it all.

Agbajor while expressing confidence in the M.O.R.E Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborvwori’s administration, said he is very optimistic that Oborevwori’s administration will address issues in the educational system of the state.

On moral upbringing, Agbajor expressed concerns in some areas and called on parents, teachers, and well-meaning Deltans to join hands and do what is necessary as the benefits of proper upbringing of children are enormous.

The publisher, while appreciating Comrade Okoro Akovoke, CEO, Okoro-Na-Me Digital Services Limited for his unwavering support in the actualization of the project, also thanked the Senior Pastor of Channel of Greatness Unshakeable Ministry, Bishop Precious Akpore for his unalloyed support in various ways to Nel Xpress Magazine.

“Nel Xpress Magazine has been doing this humanitarian work for years and every year, we have various projects that our organization usually carries out and this Basic Education/Literacy Education Project is one of them.

“We will go around various schools in Delta State and do our little best because we observed that most parents can’t afford needed school materials like notebooks and our organization has taken it upon itself to see how we can put smiles on the faces of our children because they are our future leaders.

“Our focus is government public schools both primary and secondary across Delta State, and we have already visited two local government areas in the state.

“Our team was at Idjerhe Primary School Jesse Town in Ethiope West Local Government Area and we were warmly received by the Head Teacher, Mrs. Adjagidi Glory and we distributed writing materials to the pupils and also went to Aiyetan Primary School in Sapele Local Government Area and also gave them writing materials and was received by the Head Teacher, Mrs. Okogoro Theresa who was happy at the visit.

“I want to use this medium to call for partnership from the government, private individuals, corporate organizations to join hands with Nel Xpress Magazine to actualize these various projects”

“This year, we also have other projects lined up apart from this education campaign; we will be partnering with the Ministry of Environment in having a clean environment just as the Honorable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ejiro Tommy Jamani has started doing, and our organization wants to be part of the success story of a cleaner Delta and maintain a healthy environment.

“On the medical aspect, Nel Xpress Magazine is looking at working alongside private/public medical organizations in the area of giving free medical glasses to patients that cannot afford them and also visiting hospitals across Delta state to give out items to sick patients.

“The team visited two Local Government Areas yesterday January 15 in Sapele and Ethiope West where we distributed free notebooks to students,” said Agbajor.

Similarly, the Chairman of Ethiope West Local Government Area, Hon. Nelson Owoso has expressed deep satisfaction to the Nel Xpress Magazine and Okoro-Na-Me Digital Services for the gesture to the students of his local government.

Others who sent messages of commendation include; Sir. Festus Ahon, Chief Press Secretary to the Delta State Governor, Bishop Precious Akpore of Channel of Greatness Ministry Sapele, Chief London Akpanoko, Chief Joe Omene among others.
