The speaker of Delta state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dennis Guwor has urged Deltans and Nigerians to contribute their quota to the growth and development of the nation as it marked her 64th Independence Anniversary on October 1st.
The speaker in his a goodwill message through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Nkem Nwaeke to said Delta the “‘The Big Heart”, has remained an undisputed key player in the progress and development of the country, adding that Deltans, and Nigerians should continue to have faith in country as a united and progressive nation.
Guwor maintained that the 64th Independence Anniversary is another milestone that reminds citizens of their resilience, unity, and determination for a great nation, despite daunting obstacles and challenges.
He said, “As we reflect on our journey, let’s honour the sacrifices of our founding fathers and the struggles of our past. We have come a long way, but our collective efforts will shape a brighter future”.
While enjoined Nigerians to continue to strive for greatness, embrace diversity of the people and show greater commitment to promoting peace, justice, and equality.
He thanked Deltans for their unwavering support for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s led administration.
